I recently met with a Baptist minister, who will be preaching at SFACC in late April.
He shared with me that a few years ago, a man that he knew was sentenced to prison in Gunnison.
For about a year, the minister drove, the 4 hour round trip, from Salt Lake City to Gunnison to visit the man.
I thought how disruptive that would be of one's schedule. Then, I recalled the words of Jesus, "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" I think the minister went to Gunnison, because God had given him the gift of seeing the prisoner with the eyes of Jesus.
